Dr. Mark Duckwall

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wright State University in Sociology, with a double minor: Religion and Philosophy. That, my friend, is a perfect background to be a fascinating cab driver! However, I wanted more...

I found myself working in a government agency trying to get people into good jobs. Frequently, however, I found that some health-related issues prevented my client from moving forward to a better life. I decided I could better serve my world from a position in health care. Thus began a long study of the many health careers in an effort to find my niche. I had absolutely no knowledge of chiropractic. "Wasn't that outlawed in the 30's?", I might have wondered. Curiously, it was when I read an anti-chiropractic book, written by some medical wacko trying to scare people away, that I got my first inkling. This author ridiculed basic chiropractic tenets. "Chiropractors believe the body heals itself!" Hmmm...that has been my experience....read more»

Dr. Erika Grushon

I grew up in Yellow Springs and wisely chose to return to this characteristically diverse and mindful village to practice the way I had imagined I would, I suppose, even before I went to school. I have the benefit of serving friends, family, and community members in a way that enriches their lives while at the same time I continue to gain tremendous insight into the human body and how it works. Even after the thousands of hours of training and practice, I am still surprised every day at how efficiently the body can work. At a young age I was fascinated by the human body ....read more»

Can chiropractic cure a child's ear infections?
Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything. Nor is it a treatment for ear infections. However, many children who suffer with ear infections also suffer from spinal problems in their neck, compromising nerves to the ear, depressing the immune system and preventing proper drainage. Can chiropractic help? Find out!
Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
